Philip Atkinson Appointment as Ambassador for the Merchant Navy Training Board

Graig is proud to announce that its Group Technical Director, Philip Atkinson, has been appointed as an Ambassador for the Merchant Navy Training Board.

Ambassadors are volunteers selected from experienced ex-seafarers and shore based professionals and as part of his role Philip will visit schools and youth groups in the local area to talk to young people about the career opportunities available to them in the Merchant Navy.  Hopefully Philip’s presentation will help inspire them to seek a career at sea and all that it entails in terms of lifestyle – it is not a 9 to 5 job – and also provide information on training programmes and entry requirements.
