Graig Delivers 208,000 dwt Bulk Carrier to New Owners

It is with great pleasure that Graig announces the successful delivery of the m/v ‘HL Port Walcott’ to her new owners on 23rd March 2017.


The vessel is the 2nd of two x 208,000dwt Newcastlemax bulk carriers constructed by China Shipping Industry (Jiangsu) shipyard.


This is a particularly proud moment for our team in Shanghai who were approached over three years ago and asked to evaluate the shipyard by prospective clients.  We did so and following the inspection we reported that we were very impressed by both the shipyard and its facilities.


This led to the clients placing contracts for two x 208,000dwt Newcastlemax bulk carriers and the core new building services provided by Graig including: technical specification and maker’s list review, negotiation support prior to contract signing, plan approval, vendor approval and subsequent newbuilding supervision.


The new owners are delighted with their vessel and following the usual delivery formalities, the vessel set sail for Australia just three hours after delivery!
