Graig provides extensive service coverage across the Greater China region through our network of highly-experienced surveyors, project-managers, yard supervisors, dry-docking specialists, engineers and naval architects. Our dedicated Shanghai office is led by a team of individuals who have worked extensively over the past 25 years to understand the needs and expectations of our clients in China and throughout Asia, helping to deliver solutions to our customers where they need it most. Being embedded in the heart of the Asian shipping markets and on the same time zone as our clients allows us to respond immediately to any enquiries, and apply a hands-on approach to overseeing projects and inspections across China and throughout Asia.

Bringing East and West Together

In 1995 Graig opened an office in Shanghai to leverage the expert shipyards and shipbuilders that China offered. Since then, we have been delivering a wide range of new building services in China, Vietnam, and India for more
than 25 years with over 240 projects completed across all vessel types and sizes.

Our office is British-led and managed by Jonathan Kingdon, a highly capable and experienced supervision expert, with almost 20 years of direct service-delivery experience across Greater China and wider South East Asia. Through Graig's sister company, Idwal, we harness a global workforce of over 360 technical maritime professionals with more than 40 people in China currently actively working in some capacity, covering technical services, inspections, surveys, projects, dry dockings, retrofits, and supervision services. We have access to a wider pool of resources and can flex our capacity as required.

NEWBUILDING SUPERVISION

Graig has a proven track record of managing complex newbuilding programmes and overseeing billions of dollars of vessel orders invested through Asian and particularly Chinese yards. From our office base in Shanghai since 1995, we retain deep knowledge of China, as well as strong connections across the full Chinese landscape: from shipyards through to leasing companies, owners, designers, equipment providers, class societies and more.
