- Joined Graig in 1970 and was appointed Operations Director in 1988 with overall responsibility for ship management and the safe operation of Graig�s ships. Since 1993 David has been instrumental in the growth of Graig�s shipping investments, particularly the structuring of Graig�s new building proposals centred on the �Confidence� series and the building up of the shipping technical expertise within the group. David has just under 30 years experience with ship technical and management matters. Formally qualified in Maritime Law from the school of Maritime Studies at the University of Wales in 1982, David was elected a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers and received the Baltic Exchange Award for the highest marks in the Fellowship examinations. In addition to his duties at Graig, David is a non executive director of the Marine Shipping Mutual Insurance, headquartered in Newcastle, UK.
