m/v "Traveller" Delivery, Zhonghua Shipyard, Shanghai, PRC

10 January 2000 was the first major landmark of the new Millennium for Graig with the delivery of the 12th vessel in the Confidence series to the owners, West African Shipping Limited.

This is the last of 4 vessels, built in Zhonghua, Shanghai as a continuation of the "Confidence" series, delivered without deck cranes.

Graig Ship Management Limited has carried out a full supervision contract of the construction of this and the previous 3 vessels for the owners, West African Shipping. Furthermore,as with the previous 3 vessels, Graig Ship Management are engaged to provide technical management services after delivery to the owners.

The vessel will now work back to Rotterdam where she will be fitted out with Huisman heavy lift cranes. All 4 vessels are employed in the Mammoet pool of heavy lift vessels.

Present at the ceremony, held at Zhonghua shipyard, having travelled from Europe for the occasion were:- Mr Albert Hordijk representing West African Shipping, Mr Arie Peterse of Mammoet, Mr David Ellis and Mr Philip Atkinson of Graig and Mr Charles Morrison of Braemar who brokered the sale of the vessels to West African Shipping.
